Community Support Services

Emergency Services:

The work of the Champions World Services started in 2002 with partnering with medical and religious foundations providing Emergency Services via food pantry for local residents. This outreach program strives to help low-income clients in various parts of the eastern states and our local Houston/Louisiana areas. Domestic Violent Survivors were also prioritized and were placed in protection homes where counseling and basic necessities were provided. The services provided are a wide variety of the much needed for recovery and many of all race color and creed are welcomed to begin a journey for a change of story. No one has turned away no matter the background.

School and Campus Support:

2019 became the birthing year for a vast amount of campus activities and support programs. Champions World Partnered with local schools and the Government to create Educational Support Services to assist with the transition of students from one level to another. Housing seems to be a huge issue with the increasing attendance to local colleges but with Champions Partnership with local real estate companies, Champions World was able to assist students in obtaining safe housing units off-campus and assist with transportation to campus and many other support services necessary to help keep all students secure and give families peace of mind.

Mental Health Teen Counselling:

In August of 2008 Champions World International partnered with local institutions to assist with Teen drug recovery and Peer Pressure training.
Many teens were challenged with everyday bullying and needed to learn how to approach an adult to relay the challenges of been bullied and how to cope with the challenges facing the bully with positive reenactments.

Vape and marijuana abuse had become very prevalent among teens and young adults . 1 in 4 teens have faced the brain-destroying giant and need assistance to recover from the side effects of the exposure. Champions world dedicated a unit during several summer months to gather teens to camps and seminars to obtain tools and also encourage and participate in “voice my fears “sessions. Voice my fears sessions were handled by skilled professionals who would work with small groups to assist the teens in vocalizing the concerns and barriers they face. This was especially successful and many left those sessions with strength and tools to handle the challenges of daily living.

Coming soon to Ruston Louisiana

Community Support Service Centers

One of the key projects we are working on is the construction of Community Support Centers fully equipped with computers, libraries, food pantry, PPE supplies, and many programs that will better assist our clients, especially in this Pandemic. We will have substance abuse counselors, Education Hub Stations to help with homework, job training, access to computers, and all necessary equipment to assist all our clients to infiltrate whatever it is they are in need of to better their success. We implemented Dress For Success a program created for people going back to work and in need of professional wear and hair cuts or styles to prepare for interviews. We are working on a fully equipped program for veterans, young adults, support for our campus students, and a rejuvenated plan to keep young adults engaged and fully focused.

WE WILL ANNOUNCE THE RIBBON CUTTING EVENT.
